Default 2006 LR3 Evaporator

Good afternoon my fellow LR owners. Just found out that I need to replace my compressor and my evaporator. I've seen write ups for the compressor removal but not any for the evaporator. Is there anyway to avoid dismantling the dash to replace the evaporator? TIA.

What is wrong with the evaporator? They dont clog up and they are not really prone to failure because they only way they can is via corrosion. This is why there is not a ton of info on replacement besides the workshop manual. Did you have a leak test done?

it does have a leak. The Freon was seaping into the cabinet towards the bottom of the floor. Seems like a big dash removal. Thanks for
thr diagrams.

Freon does not seep, it instantly evaporates. Guess you maybe saw some oil? There would not be much in the evaporator though. I think the only way you could remove it with an easier method would be to cut up some stuff to make access easier.

I actually saw a video where someone does this with a BMW.
