Adaptive Headlight Adjustment
For those of you that are wondering, and for those of you that happen to drive at night using your headlights, yes there is an method for adjusting your adaptive headlights. On top of the headlight units are two 6mm female hex socket adjustment sites. There are actually opening in the radiator support to allow access. I was able to adjust one of the two headlights on my Range Rover Sport (both high and low beam), however the other headlight didn't adjust. The hex would turn, but nothing seemed to happen inside of the headlight. Does anyone know if the headlight assemblies can be dismantled? Seems like a loose nut or something.
side note, the Range Rover Sport is back to life. After sitting since 2007, she is running well, 15,864 miles on the odometer. Motor runs like new, transmission shifts like silk (however, it does have a California Stop issue, perhaps an update on the programming would help), suspension works perfectly. There is some paintwork to complete, hood, fender and bumper. I did discover that the hood is actually off of a LR3! The prior owner that starter the repairs installed the wrong hood. I couldn't figure out why the lines didn't match up.......This thing runs like a champ, changed the oil on Saturday. Discovered a pinhole leak in the coolant tank, luckily the local dealer had a replacement in stock, an hour later she was purring again. I did lose the Navigation System while the shop was doing the update and final repair work. Great shop, The British Garage in the Mira Mar area of San Diego, a plus is seeing the FA18s and KC 130s flying overhead out of MiraMar Air Base, home of Top Gun. Thanks Marines! I added a couple of photos. More detailed write up to follow once the paint work is done. Phil
