Battery is disconnected and there's a fan set in it, I'll pick up a dehumidifier after work. Any that you recommend or just something that fits in the truck? S'pose with the size of the boot that's really any dehumidifier...
Luckily its clean water. Keep doing what you are doing and make sure to pull up the carpet where you can to suck up water, esepcaully below the sills where it can be an inch or two deep. If you find the sills are flooded I would recommend pulling all the seats and pulling the carpet out. It will take a long time for it to dry but while its out you can inspect everything easily.
As for a dehumidifier. If you have an enclosed garage you can put it on the floor in there and keep the truck wide open. Physics and all will take care of the rest. If you do put it inside and close it up it may not work as well, the air volume is too small. A dehumidifier is basically an AC unit that operates at low speed. It works best with warm humid air entering and outputting cooler, dry air. If you put it inside and close it up, it may get too cold in there for it to work well and actually slow down drying.
Engine is fine, I drove it back afterwards and it never even got close to overheating. T blew when parked fortunately and I was able to shut it off within 10~ seconds
I have an enclosed garage buts it’s god damn huge, 11 car and paint booth.
so far I have two fans going, just disconnected them and bought a larger dehumidifier. I’ll try and keep the truck open enough to where there is air flow? Front windows are open and rears don’t work
That sucks!!! That's exactly what could have happened to me during my sun roof adventure!! Let it dry out a few days and then see what it does & let us know!
