Yes I did. The compressor was shot. Everything else was fine. Talked with some LR techs and they said they are now starting to see the AMK units fail. Mine was around 4 years old. Put in the new compressor and all is perfect since then.

 

Hopefully these AMK failures will be constrained to the older version of the compressor.

 

I'm the second owner of my 2007 LR3, but the first owner replaced the compressor in June of 2010 at about 38k miles. Does anyone know when the AMK compressors came out to replace the Hitachis?

 

Well one version came out with the LR4 so presumably right around 2010....then apparently another version came out more recently...not sure when.
