You mentioned that you've already replaced the most likely culprits - the struts and the valve block. I find it unlikely that you have a leak in a line as that would probably result in a major leak that would be obvious; it would sink in a matter of an hour instead of overnight.

My gut says double check the connections at the struts and the valve block. I'm betting on a slow leak at one of the connections on the block if both sides of the front are dropping with the fuse pulled. Or possibly a bad valve block off the shelf (?).

 

What would I be looking for on the connections, and if there is a leak, then what would I need to replace it? Thanks for your help!

 

The usual trick is to spray some soapy water on the connectors and look for bubbles just like looking for a leak in a tire. But to be honest I've had mixed results doing this.

If you pull the connectors out you'll see they have a small o-ring on them. I've had some be damaged if re-used (others that were re-used with no problems) so that's my most likely suspect area.

 

Hey fella's, I'm having a problem with my 06' 322. Front end drops once i park it almost immediately. The rear stays inflated though. When driving I have to stay under 30mph or I will get a suspension fault reading and the truck will lower itself. I would assume that my compressor is functioning properly as I am able to control lift and lower functions within the cab. I was told that it may be an air bag problem. I've heard of guys using fix-a-flat as a temporary solution. I really don't have the money to invest in a new suspension at present. Your thoughts? Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Do not use fix a flat, unless you want to replace every piece of the system.

Sounds like the front valve block is dying/dead. Luckily they're easy to replace, just take out the passenger front wheel well liner and it's right there. Just loosen the hose fittings and swap in the new valve block

I've got a problem with my suspension dropping over night passengers side front, replaced the air strut, but still doing it, i disconnected the battery to charge it and to see if it still drops, but its stayed up without the battery, anyone any ideas on why and what do i need to do to fix it ?

To me that signifies that your suspension was not leaking air, but was self-leveling and perhaps you had a bad calibration or height sensor...or have fouled desiccant somewhere in the system. Your first move should have been to pull power and measure drop overnight....but that's okay, your air strut probably needed a refresh; might want to do the other side now, too.

You're going to want to get an IIDTool (or equivalent) from GAP Diagnostics so you can read codes and figure out what is happening. Then go from there. Keep throwing parts at it you'll go crazy...and broke. Is it giving you faults or otherwise behaving unexpectedly?

 

I've got a gap diagnosis plug, I'm going to connect everything back and see what happens over night, but i think your maybe right about height sensor, how would I test it, I'll run a faults test and come back to you. You can email directly if you like.

You can look at live data for the height sensors with the GAP tool. Just do a search and they'll pop up. Look at the values and the voltage levels.
