Bare wire in DVD harness
09 LR3 HSE LUX
Recent purchase and going through the issues. P.O. dunked it in Pine Barrens sandy water, so I had plans to pull carpets and seats to get as much sand out as possible.
Checking the passenger side sill harness, found what appears to be add on wiring from the headrest DVD players. I’ve removed the DVD headrests and while I don’t need to fully uninstall all the wiring, there is a bare un-insulated wire running as a part of this add on.
Can anyone enlighten me on why it’s bare and if I should re-run it with insulated wire, remove it or just leave it as is? Anyone else come across this in their trucks?
As I traced it, I find that where it connects, it has a small bit of insulation but otherwise is bare. Why?
