That's where the coolant bleeder tee is normally located - a common failure point. It's fine to be bypassed like that - you'll just need to make sure you've got all the air out of the system if/when you ever open it up.

ah perfect. I got air coolant system. Was wondering how to bleed it out. I fixed the coolant leak

Since I am waiting for parts for tranny to come in. I went in and did the installation of the radio including the bypassing of the amp and wiring a CAN module to make the steering controls work and so that the radio can be turned on via CAN signal as there isn’t a dedicated ACC switch for the radio. Also found 2 broken sunroof drain 90s. Going to replace them tomorrow since parts got here late. And I gave her a very deep clean.

Damn that radio came out nice. im wanting to do the same with my lr3 did you have to get special mounting bracket?

yeah I am very happy with it. I bought it from crutchfield

Does the converter module also allow you to set the vehicle clock from the new head unit?

mine doesn’t have nav so I don’t think so

Got basically a hell of a rain yesterday. Didn’t stop raining for like 6 hours. Went inside car and water starter coming from the driver side a pillar. Seems like the drain connection from the sunroof itself. Do I have to remove the headliner?

You can access the sunroof drain connection by removing just the visor and overhead handle. And also the inside pillar/airbag cover.
