Default Brake change question LR3

I'm getting a bit of pulsating happening when I apply the brakes. I assumed that It was telling me I'm due for a brake service but I've just discovered my truck has a brake pad sensor? It's a 2005 LR3. So, if my truck isn't telling me to replace brake pads (through sensor warning) then I'm guessing the pulsating on braking is another problem?
Also, while I have your attention, do I have to change the sensors each time I change pads?
Thanks for any help.

It could easily be the brakes. The sensor is just for pad wear. Pulsing can be causes multiple ways, "warped" rotors, sticking caliper slide pins, caliper piston stuck (fronts have two, one or both can be stuck) or even suspension bushings being worn. Just start with the brakes by taking them out and inspecting. All too often it is a slide pin which can often be worked free, cleaned up and lubricated to function like new.

Pulsing could be uneven wear.

In terms of the sensor, you can replace it if you want. But if you don't want to just snip the wire and twist the ends together. That'll permanently keep the wear light off
