Default Brake light switch - panacea to all woes?

Posting here for a friend who doesn't really get online...

2006 - SE V8. 244kms.

Basically, has a series of errors that come up: Transmission fault, HDC programs not avail; engine reduced power; low coolant level (although suspect this is a sensor issue)

Vehicle will not raise - on bump stops rn.

Compressor has been replaced but does not run. Dealer was involved in compressor replacement..had other issues - suggested a brake switch replacement which they didn't have on hand at the time (ordered by the owner but they had to get the car back- but then they gave up). I am trying to assess whether they should keep plugging away or not. Switch has NOT been replaced yet.

Took it for a drive - drives ok - no issues other than it being on bump stops.

Given that these beasts are finicky -

1) Does it sound like a battery replacement and/or brake switch change will help this?
2) Are these common errors that point to a brake switch/alternator/battery
3) If the entire system was removed and a coil over installed, would that fix the mess that it is?

I did run codes through my gap - most of them (the transmission and the suspension) pointed to the same module (forgot its same) having issues.

Thoughts are appreciated as this one is a little out of my depth.

If it were a brake switch issue it would at least go back to normal height at start up. It would help to know the codes specifically here on this post. Maybe the new compressor is bad???

Ah yeah - I wish I had screen captured those... damn.

Anyway, yes ...there I NO sound coming form the compressor at all. The only thing is it's illuminated in the "lower" position...pushing it up produces an "bong!" then fault messages.

I should have checked the fuse...
