Default Burned bulb notification

Is there a burned bulb notification in our cars? i was driving behind a fellow LR3 owner, and both ofhis stop lights where out (the center one on top still worked).Made me wonderif I should start checking mine (which is a good practice, but audi & bmw inform you, so you kinda become spoiled)

Default RE: Burned bulb notification

I know it sounds cheesy but afew days ago I turned on the engine and got out to admire the car.
Both of my rear taillights were out too. The car gave me no notification whatsoever, and after that incident i see many LR3s with burnt bulbs. I think the problem is that the car has automatic headlights and turn on the taillights when it is dark, so the bulbs appear to be functional but the lights are supposed to get brighter once you brake and they don'tbecause they areout.I changed them both but the whole taillight module assembly was near impossible to take out. Eventually I got it out but I probably didn't use enough brute force because I feared I would destroy the whole thing or something. Land Rover should really adress this problem because it took me days to notice that my bulb was out and hours to change two light bulbs.
Sorry to make this so long but no, it doesn't tell you.
