Default Buy or Lease the LR3?

I'm interested in the LR3 and I'm thinking about buying/leasing one. I'm debating whether to buy or lease it. I always buy cars because I usually keep/use them for a good 8-9 years and don't ever sell them, so a lease isn't really for me. But i have heard that reliabiltiy on Land Rover's aren't that great and that after the 4yr warranty is over, anything you need to be fixed is very expensive. I've heard that every new part to might need to be replaced on Land Rover's costs a few thousand dollars to order and install. So, in the LR3's case leasing might be better because I wouldn't be keeping the car long enough to the point that I'll have to pay for new parts and service. By the way I'm thinking about getting the HSE model almost fully loaded. I would greatly apprieciate replys and any ideas on what I should. Thanks

Great! We bought our new LR3. It was in the shop for three weeks during the first month that we owned it because of some quirky electrical problem and now I read that there's a recall to replace the fuel tank! SH*T. Maybe I should have leased.

I just leased my 06. I have bought a 02,03,04 Discovery and also a 99 Range Rover HSE with no warranty. It was a mechanical nightmare and we couldn't afford to keep fixing it so we traded it on the LR3. This is the first car I have leased and we had to put very little money down. All my Rovers have had serious mechanical issues and I am glad I had the warranty. I will be glad to hand this one over at the end of the lease and start fresh. As I type this my brand new 06 is in the shop and I am driving a rental. Thank God for the warranty.

Lease...
I just returned my 03 Navigator, the residual value was 31k, could buy the same truck for 23K. Why? It averages 10.5 mpg.
Got 75% residual on a 2 year for my new 06 V8SE If I decide to keep the car could probably replace it with an 06 HSE for that residual amt.
Gas is only gonna go up, it might be $5/gal in two years, so if I want to bail on 12-14mpg, I can.
Who knows what new toys LR will come up with in 2 years.
In two years maybe they'll get the rest of the bugs out (suspension, elecrtical, seat,...etc.)
Personally, I start getting bored with my car every 2 or 3 years anyway.

Therefore, LEASE!!!
