Can someone identify this part?
Can someone identify this part? I found it on the floor in my garage under my vehicle.
I recently had my 2005 LR3 HSE in for service. They replaced the transmission, transfer case and differential fluids.
Thanks

That is what they use to time the dual overhead flux throwout valves. Only came on the 2005 V8 version. Why you ask? Welllllll it has a long history of when the Conquistadors ruled the at the time land locked England. Once the indigenous Aborigines decided to fight back against the oppressing force of pirates they dug what is now known as the English Channel and North Sea. A lot of people don't know that but I consider myself somewhat of a history buff....
I chose to replace the transmission fluid based on the recommendation from ZF Transmission. Since I was doing the transmission ( the most expensive part ) I opted to have all the fluids changed.
Made a remarkable improvement in how the vehicle drives. I highly recommend it.
Would they use this for the transmission service?
Previously they replaced the MASS Filter and Air compressor.
Before that they replaced the camshaft/rocker engine gaskets.

It wasn't lost on all...
But the flux capacitors on this truck are in a place that they won't fall off... also with a little re-wiring I'm pretty sure the truck will transform into a time hopping, steel bodied, 80s sports car.
