So what's weird is that my older LR3 is 12/05, and the owners manual does list satellite radio. But somehow the manual was copyrighted in 2007. I'm guessing it was replaced for some reason.

I'll check the other and see what it says.

So my newer 2006 LR3, the HSE, was built 03/2006 and the manual has a 2005 copyright. It talks about satellite radio too, but it uses that sdars name that I had never heard of until you mentioned it above.

Interesting how much they change the small things... I don't have anything at all on the audio system in my main user manual. Instead, I have a small, separate booklet titled "Audio System". It is copyright 2005 and does not contain anything at all on satellite radio or SDARS.

Well, if nothing else, perhaps we've narrowed down the date at which the Land Rover began to offer Satellite Radio as an option on the LR3s. It would seem that the cutoff date may be (a build date of) somewhere in December 2005.

Default page 306 or ? re SEDARS

Can one of you post a jpg of the SDARs tuning instructions for those of us not blessed. My owners manual only goes to about page 305 and is of course silent with regards to Satellite radio; as such I do not know how to access it even if my radio had it - something to do with the AUX button I know but I have never seen anything in print.

Also was at my dealer today and looked again at the RR HSE Autobiography - 29 speakers and a 1,700 watt amp, so I corrected my previous post.

Sure, but it might be easier to look on topix. The "owners" info is free, including the manual and accessory fitting instructions:

TOPIx - TOPIx

The 2005 manual, even the latest revision sure enough doesn't show any info. You'll have to look up a 2006 or newer to see it.
