The base radio unit can be replaced by many 2DIN ones. You usually need a fitting kit and a bunch of cabling. Google incartec, for example, in UK.

If you have the MOST bus (so high line or premium stereo with CD changer, etc.) then it is much more difficult to replace it and keep the existing functionality.

Thanks.
Im looking for the right kit. But strangely, I found more DIY video and kits for the HSE one than the base.

If they’re American videos I’d imagine there are many more HSE or well specced SEs over there than base or S models

CD400 is the easiest to replace, once you have the fascia/harness kit you can fit any double din head unit you like.

Top one is just a cheap 7" screen connected to the output of the other unit, head unit is an Eonon UA12 Plus. I used the Connects2 harness kit which is sold in Australia under the Aerpro label.

In the CD400, what is each side OEM Wiring? 12 vs 16+4 cables. Looks like the aftermarket wiring is just for the 16+4, I assume that’s power and speakers.

The smaller plug is superfluous, it has the aux input wiring in it.
