So, the center console lid on my new to me ride is ripped pretty bad. Any suggestions? Looks like a new cover can be had for cheap but not sure how well they work. Next bet would be a used part? New is north of $400 so would like to stay away from that.

 

I ordered the “leather” on eBay and recovered mine. If you do this, you have to use a special glue.

it was easy. And it has lasted a while so far. It actually seems thicker than the original.

Yikes....glad I replaced mine when I did, it wasn't anywhere near as expensive and I went from vinyl to leather.

The handle on mine is broken as well. I’m having a hard time finding a used replacement. I did find a 2010 RR sport lid used. Looks the same in the picture. Anyone know if it is actually the same part and will fit the LR3?

 

I have big dogs and they scratched the top up on mine so I put skateboard deck tape on top and the door handles. I know it's not for everyone but now the dogs have grip and it doesn't damage anything.

 

I’ve done some research and it looks like an early LR4 lid will fit. They also have the benefit of a usb connection instead of the outdated cell phone cradle. But not sure how the power connection would work or if the cord to the cell cradle would work as is. Looks like it would be a pain to totally remove as the cooler box would have to come out. Anyone try this replacement?

alternatively, has anyone done anything to convert the cell cradle to anything at all useful? If so, perhaps I’ll look at that new cover for the existing top. But some of the padding is gone so not sure how well that will work.

 

Anyone replace the center area rest with a replacement taken from an LR4 and figure out the wiring?
