Default Dash mat?

Greetings gents. My 05 has the typical dash cracks. The Florida summer is naming them worse. I am trying to source a carpet style dash mat. I gave the center speaker for navy and the mats that I am seeing don't seem to account for that. Has anyone done the cover thing with nav?

I haven't seen any. Probably mainly because it would interfere with the air bags. This is an issue everyone has eventually, very frustrating.

Very frustrating indeed. Mine was cracked around the passenger airbag (it was like that when I bought it), but I just had the windshield replaced and I guess the stress of removing the previous windshield cracked the dash in two new places. Luckily, I can only see the cracks from the outside if I know where to look, but it is still ridiculous when you think about how much these trucks cost new.

Geesh, I just realized the number of typos in my post! I blame the ipad. Reading up more on the mats, holes are not precut for the nav speakers since the fabric does not muffle the sound...according the to manufacturer. I will order one and see how it fits since they are not that expensive. I will report back my findings.

Personally, I can't stand the carpeted dash. Reminds me of **** carpeting on walls...

Source a new dash (which is probably hard to find and even harder to install) or do the dash and headliner in suede or alcantera.

I agree that they look crappy. I would love to do a new dash but know that it would just happen again in time. Plus, it is track season and all my residual cash goes to tires on the race car.

Speaking of cracks, I noticed most of my seat belt buckles, the strap side also have cracked on one side or another. If someone out there has access to scrap LR3's it would be interesting to inspect them, and cut one apart to see if it's just fascia or it is functional. It would suck to need them and have it fail.
