Default Diag Computer for LR3 and LR4

Well, with the quick addition of a LR3 and LR4 to the stable, I'm looking for a good diag computer for these trucks, preferable one that will work for both.

In addition to the typical ODBC codes for the Engine, trans, emissions, etc, I also want to be able to pull codes from the other computer systems like the BCU.

Any recommendations?

I don't see why not, but I think you'll need to buy an additional vin for full functionality.

You'll need to check GAP's site.

IID tool will work with L319 (LR3/D3), L320 (RRS), L322 (RR fullsize).

Not the older Discovery models. Needs to be after OBDII, since 05 and newer went to CANBUS

noticed you didn't mention the LR4 even though it is still a L319

I own a Gap BT tool for my Lr3 which is great to get access to ecus, software updates, trouble codes, steering calibration, etc... bit pricey. I also own a Disco 2, so I bought a i930 Multi-System Diagnostic Tool By iCarsoft For Land Rover & Jaguar (1st Generation) It cost me $149. It abled me to reset my abs codes, access to all the BCU's, and was able to pull codes from all my on board computers, live values. It also has a wide range of Landrover specific vehicles and jaguars you can connect to without buying any additional license. Great tool for the money.
