Default Difference in Model Years

I am looking at new rotors and pads and was wondering if there is any difference between the 05-07 or the 08-09 when it comes to brakes?
Here's the listing I am looking at...

For some reason they have separated their listing for the LR3

Seriously doubt it.. They barely changed the LR3 to LR4 much less model year changes that would affect brake rotors or calipers.

I have been very happy with the Oem pads and rotors. Very little dust, no warping, long life, no noise. Costs a little more but I have been very happy with them. Phil

Default there are differences

I would be a bit selective with regards to the brake parts vs model years, engine selections, and options.

The 09 LR3 generally was a preproduction 2010; that is LR introduced a bunch of their new ideas that they had in mind for the LR4 and tried them out in the 2009 LR3. I felt it was fortunate that the economy was so bad in 2009 that vehicle sales were limited.

The 08 model is the best LR3 made. By then, they had fixed near everything; hence the need to wreck it again as I guess it was getting too boring back in Engineering at the factory.

But to answer the question, the brakes for for the 056/06 and 07 did not change much, but there may be differences in the V6 vs V8 brakes and if the engine was supercharged or not. I do not think there were any supercharged 3's but the Sports were.

Attached is a link to an open Excel parts file that I made up. It may be of use but the part numbers are for my 2005 HSE LR3 and may be different for yours. As such, you can change the file to suit your 3.

Also I presume you have a copy of the 36 page Brake Bible pdf by Bodsy? if not, you need it, as it does answer most of the questions, particularly regarding the parking brake which is the complication. Do not ignore it or you will get a real education about 10 miles down the road. The link to the pdf is below. There are now over 15,000 downloads and you can print it out at your leisure.
