Disco 3 Radio
The CD player of the radio of my 2007 Disco 3 TDV6 SE have given up the ghost and kept on freezing with a CD stuck and not ejecting. Have opened the unit to retrieve all the discs and with the result that I now have a non-operational CD player.
Have consulted the dealers who said that the unit cannot be repaired (or not really interested in repairing) and have to be replaced at in excess of R 8 000.00 apparently.
May I be so bold as to ask the forum members if others have experienced the same predicament and if so what solution/s are available.
Not really too concerned with the CD player if only the unit had a USB port then that could be an alternative (only the Aux port in the centre console)
Would appreciate any feedback/response.

Thanks for the response ZB-30. I have tried that but have not been successful as yet but will keep trying.
As mentioned I would perhaps rather prefer to add a USB port to my existing arrangement and forget about the CD unit as it might be easier and maybe more convenient in the long run. An Aux input point already exist but cannot be controlled from the radio or steering controls other than volume. In addition, I believe that the Sat-nav is wired/controlled via the radio installed and I would not want to disturb that unless absolutely necessary.
I will however still persue e-bay for perhaps a used/salvaged unit, perhaps, perhaps maybe lucky.
