Default Driver Seat Power Height adjustment failed

I am wondering if this is a motor or switch issue and how easy the motor or switch is to access or diagnose?

The seat power/motor back and forth works fine. Heating never worked on the driver side since I purchases about 6 months ago at 100K miles.

I recall someone saying that the 2005 lr3 doesn't have up and down on the front portion of the seat.

Default SE, maybe not.

My 2005 HSE has up and down on both front seats.

It may be however that the SE does not but that the up down switch is installed. This could be much like the outside mirrors adjust switch which also includes the power fold function, but for most of us, there is no power fold option installed.

The owners manual usually will have a star beside the description if up down or whatever else is an option.

Unless I have lost my mind (which is possible)...i remember adjusting the height quite often as my daughter or wife drove the vehicle also. Then again - maybe I am confusing myself with our other vehicle?

Any other SE owners with working tilt/height power adjustment on the drivers seat?

It should have height adjustment. I think what the person I'm "quoting" was saying is that it just doesn't have it in the front edge of the seat base. On my 2006 I can adjust the front or rear edge separately.

I don't know if this is true, I'm just repeating something I heard.

Weird ghost in the machine. I went to the passenger side to see if the height adjustment worked there. It did. I returned to the driver side and amazingly the control started working again. I don't know if the two are connected somehow electronically? Maybe just a coincidence.
