Default End of rear differential breather

Has anyone a picture or has found where the end of the rear differential breather tube is? Where do you access it?

The front is easy, just under the hood.

If the rear cap is anything like the fronts its got to be clogged. So I want to put a different type of cap on it.

I believe it terminates behind the gas filler assembly in that mess of tubing. It should go up, and run along the fuel tank fill line. It terminates behind the fuel fill assembly.

1 - Filler cap
2 - Bracket
3 - Screw M6
4 - Filler cap lanyard
5 - Charcoal canister breather hose
6 - Charcoal canister vent hose to atmosphere
7 - Charcoal canister (ROW)
8 - Rear differential breather pipe
9 - Tank breather pipe
10 - Clamp - filler hose
11 - Fuel filler pipe
12 - Screw M8
13 - Lower mounting bracket to EPB bracket

Later this week I'll be rerouting the coolant lines back there -- I'll find that breather and give you some photos of it.

Default Rear Diff Breather

Looks like it's on top of the unit. See the exploded diagram item #24 on Page 2.

Yes that is probably where the vent line is attatched but it does not show the actual routing of the line or its termination.

Its a plastic hose that has a vent at the end. If the vent is plugged pressure will build up when it gets hot. The current vent of the front diff is junk. Tiny little filter that is pre clogged.

Here is a diagram showing what I described. Note the little hose sticking down in front of #5, this is the diff breather tube.

Not sure what I am looking at in that diagram. This part is the back of the truck, and your list has 8 as the rear diff which is at the front of the truck in the photo and not listed in this rear blow up.

RAJOD, does someone hold your hand when you go pee?

Read what unseenone stated: "Note the little hose sticking down in front of #5, this is the diff breather tube."

Is this hose visible if I were to slide under the truck near the filler tube area? Or is it buried or hidden behind something? And do we know if it even has a cap on it or not?
