Hahahahaha....I know, but he'd stated what you were looking for in that schematic. Agree the picture wasn't conclusive.

I don't know. It is visible where it connects to the diff, and I have not tried to crawl under and trace it. Somehow, I am guessing it is not. As previously mentioned, and described, now pictured. It begins (or ends) at the diff, and terminates in the gaggle of hoses behind the fuel door assembly.

Whoever is digging into this, needs to post some pictures.

LOL to the rest of you yahoos.

This will have to hold you over till some one gets pictures of a LR3 tube.

Quick fix: Oil leak from the rear differential | Land Rover Expedition

This guy solved leaky rear differential with a paper clip.

Check this kit out, good idea, a bellows system. No chance for water to enter.

That is in a 1993 200 TDI, how does it apply here?

Tomorrow I'll be doing some surgery on my coolant lines and will have (what I assume to be) access and view of the fuel filler area. Pics will follow.

Okay, so I tried to take a picture and put this to rest, but I honestly could not get a good picture. If you get down just behind the rear passenger side wheel (and just in front of the muffler), you can follow the diff breather tube up to the gas filler. From there, you can see that it is simply folded over and points down, but does not get routed TO the gas filler door or anything fancy. The tube is simply folded 180 degrees and ends behind the fender up by the gas filler door. Hope this makes sense.

Okay... here are a couple of shots taken looking straight up between the rear pass muffler and the rear pass wheel.

Just cause you have a LR does not mean you have to look down on the poddlings with TDIs. I said it will have to hold you over.

CMB6F nice job! those photos are rarer than pics of Big Foot or area 51. Nice show.

Wonder why the front differential is treated differently with the fancy little breather cap and then new updated cap. The rear just gets an open folded pipe. And that explains why the rear diff does not have the pressure build up and blown seals like the front.
