Default engine stutters between 1500 and 2200 rpm

I have 2007 LR3 4.4L and when I pressed the gas lightly, usually uphill to my house going around 25-35 MPH, the engine starts to hesitate and stutter around 1500-2200 rpm. It doesn't matter if it is in second or third gear. I took it to my independent mechanic and no codes come up. I recently replaced one bank of catalytic converter to pass a smog test earlier this year when this issue started. Replaced the spark plugs as well. I took it back to him this week and he replaced the second catalytic converter and the I still have the problem. IT doesn't happen all the time, just once in awhile. HELP!!!

Possible lack of fuel or air - check that you do not have any air or fuel leaks

No codes, then I would try cleaning the throttle body first as a matter of course.

Had my mechanic check all the vacuum and fuel lines. No errors. Uploaded with the latest firmware. Still no solutions. I have not clean the MAF due to the sensitivity of the sensors.

What? Just clean the MAF to rule it out. Also, what do you mean by stutter? What exactly is happening?

I also had the sensors swapped out in the catalytic converter as recommended by someone who had the same issue. The stutter feels like the engine is misfiring at low rpm. And the truck shakes a bit as if it is going to stall. Various Land Rover forums has the same issue with different models. No one seems to have the solution. I do not have a single fault code which is so weird. Last try is to replace the accelerator pedal with throttle position sensor before I take it to the transmission shop to see if it is the torque converter. Anyone. Help?

clean the MAF and put a can of fuel system cleaner in your tank. rule out the easy stuff first

I would also consider the EGR valve. You can disconnect it just before the throttle body. Connects to the black intake tube with a squeeze connector. Disconnect it there and plug both ends for a very short drive to see if things change.

Also make sure your oil filter cap and dipstick are seated correctly. These engines do not like the slightest vacuum leak.

There’s and engine ECM software update that fixes this. Do you have access to a IID tool?

I cleaned the MAF and the throttle body. I even swapped out the ignition coil. Non-OEM because it was much cheaper. (Going to reinstall the original ones back- no difference). I had my mechanic update the latest software update. It’s stuttering more and changing gears at different RPM. My next step is to change the pedal accelerator. Last step will be to change the transmission fluid and then if that doesn’t work. Maybe torque converter.
