Default Is this a fair price for an LR3? Thinking about doing it..

I've looked around for a while, and my delusional boss (the type who waits for you to do something then says he would have done the opposite) thinks I should just wait till spring because they will be cheaper. Sure, but in the spring it'll be 2012 and most banks are gonna cut out 2005s and limit 2006s to 24mo. financing, which (as first year of LR3) will cut out some good deals. Plus my DII might break this winter (driveshaft, power steering, head gasket, etc) which would totally offset anything I saved on an LR3. PLUS I wouldn't be able to enjoy my new LR3 in the snow. Besides, I just sold my "nice" car and now only have the DII, so.. yeah.

I think this is a good deal, but I need to work with these guys a bit. It's an actual land rover dealer.

2006 White/beige, HSE, cold weather, HD package, front LR aux lights, etc etc.
It's IMMACULATE however they want $21,680 for it - the problem is that it has 72,700 miles! I know in the big picture, that's not a lot (my friends 06 has 130 and has been fine, something's loose in the steering but that's probably a normal tie rod/bushing).

I asked about extended warranties and he quoted me $3500 / $3900 for a 24 / 36mo.

...makes me think he's gonna be a hardball negotiating. I'd like to get the thing for 20, but let me know if you think that's realistic or not.

Is this the one with the HD package? If so do it now. Don't even think about it. Go pick it up tomorrow.

Price sounds pretty good. You could probably get 1k off of them at least.

regarding the warranty - I believe I paid around 5k for a 5 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper

Summary: pull the trigger and never look back. You'll love it

Yup this is the same one, and yeah that's what my instincts are telling me! Hopefully she doesn't disappear this weekend, it's ~250 miles away and I won't be able to head up there with the $$ till next Friday.

Don't get the extend warranty thru that dealer. Get the Ford ESP extended warranty, this is the one I plan to get in feb 2012 when my factory lr3 warranty runs out....the best and cheapest there is. See this thread for the detail and the Ford dealer to get it from to get the best deal:

Well, that's also a good deal! When did you get yours? I'm also limiting myself because I'm so determined to get a white one.

Dirt cheap. Go for it. That would cost $31000 here.

not to brag but I paid 14k for my 05 with 65k miles. I am going to have to spend about 2k to get everything perfect but that still is pretty cheap I think. I have a se with cold weather, hd, 3rd row, xenon, new tires, only thing I wish I had was nav, oh yea I have the rear ent. set up too....looks like a nice ride though...ENJOY...I LOVE MINE
