Default Fattest tire....

I am by no means an off-roader, but I do like the visual of the LR3 with some presence.

Does anyone know the widest tire that can fit w/o having it rub while turning. I am thinking at 275 is about the max without Rubbing anywhere...

i have some Johnson type rods that were installed by the previous owner...(height I know is about 32 no more with lifts etc)

Lots have 285/60R18
They do look pretty nice, with minimal issues.

Concur with Doug. I ran 285/60s for a while and had no real issues with rubbing. The wider stance does look cool. It's 285/60R18 to be exact, so if you have an HSE but don't have 18" rims that won't work but you could still shoot for that same width, just in a 19. I've never looked to see if there are any options there.

If you have rear AC it will limit the width of tyre you can fit plus anything larger than 265/65 wont fit underneath,

A 275/65R18 will fit in the spare tire well if you remove the heat shield and air it down some. Don’t know how easy it will come out, but it does fit.

Evap pipes will rub on the tires.

Default Evap pipes...

...are a problem for the 275/65R18 tires as well, that's why I was asking. The issue is not specific to the 285 series tire. People move those pipes and flatten out that body seam.

Luckily I don't have rear HVAC. I got a 5-seater so chose to skip the rear HVAC.

How does the 265/65R18 BFG fit underneath, in the spare tire spot?

I too got that tire, and had a hell of time getting it in there. Are there any special tricks to doing so?

Supposedly you can air down to 20psi and remove the exhaust heat shield.
Are your tires E-Load range? I think they are larger diameter than an XL or Regular Load range tire, due to the deeper treads.

Maybe XL fit better than E underneath?
