These are the Torx drivers I got - the long reach is handy!

Great post, thank you.

While I didn't have to remove the compressor entirely, really useful looking at your pics to help guide my repair of the cracked dryer cap.

Cheers

Another thank you. I recently picked up an 08' LR3 HSE, knowing the air suspension was shot and thinking I was just going to do the coil swap. I figured I'd try to troubleshoot the air system just to see and learn about it, did some soap/ water spraying and found the leak you've described. Not knowing what it was or how to fix it without buying a new compressor I thought it was hopeless and I'd be spending thousands then found this. I just took the cap off, used some old epoxy in my garage and slapped it back on. The LR3 raised to offroad height, which it never did before, always stating special programs turned off, suspension failure.

So that was a big win, thank you. The compressor still runs longer than what many threads have described (about 60-90 seconds on start up) and when I drive the yellow (and red) suspension failure light still come on. Not sure why but I'll try to clear the codes from with the battery reset procedure to see if that allows a new suspension calibration. So the mystery continues but getting one step closer. Thanks again.
