Default Gap IID Tool vs others

Hi.
There are any generic tool that can edit CCF, adjust height to add 32-33” tires and ECU Reflash? The gap tool is powerful, but been useful just for Land Rover and for just one car is not nice.

The convention wisdom is to get the GAP tool.

You can get readers that will work on other cars but they wont have access to the CCF like the Gap Tool does.

My mechanic friend has a Snap-on Apollo D-8 and it will do 99% of what the Gap tool can do. That 1 % is the CCF.

If however you are in the automotive repair business, and you want a menu driven walk through diagnostic tool for $5,379.00 It is a great tool.
There may be something out there, but the cost may be prohibitive for the hobby repair enthusiast.
There is a reason that you keep hearing everyone on this forum saying to get a Gap Tool.

Hope this helps
Jeff

As far as I know, nothing can beat a GAP IID Tool. Others can do some or most. And those that can do most can often cost more. Also with GAP you will get some forum support here since many of us use it. With other tools, you are on your own usually.

I doubt it, but never tried it. Unless someone here knows, an email to GAP can get an answer. While a single tool requires VIN registration to your Rover, you can license additional VINs at a cost. This give you full functionality for each of those Rovers. But you can use it on other Rovers as a code reader, including the Rover specific codes that the cheap ODBII readers cant read.
