Default Good shops in the Seattle area?

I'm moving to Seattle and wanted to find out if there are any good Land Rover shops in the area rather than the dealer. I will need some brake work done pretty soon on my LR3.

Thanks!

That's not necessarily true. I checked with a couple independent shops and my dealer ended up matching the price. But yes, the initial price from the dealer is like $1300...

$1300 hundred dollars to do brakes??? There ought to be a law against that! Anyone willing to pay $1300 dollars for brakes has an empty space between their ears.

You did it yourself for 200? The parts alone are 3x times that I had priced through Land Rover. 4 rotors, f/r sensors, pads for front and rear? Even roverparts.com is almost twice what you paid for just the parts ($329.95 on sale and then I'd have to pay shipping). The dealer did it OTD for $900 (inc. tax). Porsche, Mercedes and other luxury dealers are all up there in price and sometimes more.

The guys who quote "$99 lifetime brakes"...quoted me +/- $950 (inc. tax) and I checked 3 different companies. I don't have the time, tools or expertise to do it myself so having the dealer price lower than all my other quotes was satisfactory to me.

Rotors were fine I reused my sensors and put on new pads. I have done brakes myself but I did not do the ones on my LR3 I had a mechanic do it. You don't have to buy into the new rotors check them you should get 2 sets of pads to a set of rotors. They can reuse the sensors if they are carefull.

Well I know for next time. You had the best case scenario and I the worst. My rotors were worn and had seen 44k. I'll be sure to inquire about the sensors next time also! Thanks.
