Default Headliner material

The headliner material is peeling off my passenger side A piller. So I need to either try to reattach the cloth portion that is peeling back on to the pad or I need to totally replace.

My fear is that trying to glue the fabric portion will not hold or the glue will soak through. Anyone have success with this?

it wouldn’t be hard to replace. But would need to find a smallish piece of material in the right color. Anyone know where this might be available? I’ve found headliner material but only in large pieces. Smallest I can find is an entire yard which I don’t need.

Super common on the these. On mine, both pillars were more than 50% "loose." Upholstery spray adhesive does the trick. Remove the pillar by prying out the plastic airbag badge, then use a T30 to carefully remove the bolt holding it in. Some say T27 which of course fits, but I'm pretty sure it's a 30 and TIGHT so you don't want to have it strip or slip with your tool next to the windshield. When it's off take your time and see how the fabric stretches. Re-glueing is simply pulling it away from the pillar until you reach solid attachment and spraying the glue behind it. Yes, it does get a bit wet but apparently that's the magic of the adhesive. When it dries it doesn't show. You have some time to adjust it after your spray.

Clean your hands first and take your time. Mine turned out with a wrinkle or 2 but 10x better than when I started. If you're not happy with it you can always pull it off and replace the entire thing.

I have the same item on my to-do list.

I will just going to pull the part off, remove the cloth, and use 3M super 90.
It goes on very dry and webby . . . and sticks like no other.

I have no fears of it coming loose, and only 1% fear of it showing thru.
Maybe I will find the time before you do and will report back.

Tks guys. I was somewhat concerned that the spray glue would show through the fabric but it sounds like not.

Not if you let the glue pretty much dry first. Never, every apply the fabric with wet adhesive. Basically you use the same method one used with rubber cement. You let it tack up/mostly dry first. That way as you apply pressure it will not soak up into the fabric surface.
