Does anyone know off hand which wires for the seat heat element I should be connecting to to test resistance?

there are two pigtails for the the seat heater. Do I test red on one side of one pigtail and then the black on the same side on the other to complete the circuit?

this is, of course after I repair the element and bridge the break....

 

Test red to black. Two because there is an element for the seat bottom and one for the seat back.

 

My '05 definitely does not have a heated seat back.

 

None of the wiring diagrams show the heated backrest as optional, or "high-line", etc. So if the vehicle has heated seats, its seat surface and backrest.

 

Works now - seat and back toasty warm...

 

Hmmm....maybe the seat back is heated but I just don't feel it?

 

Its pretty weak in mine. In fact the Rover seems to have the worst heated seats of any vehicle I have had.
