I had to tow my truck to a friend who is a mechanic to have the thermostat housing replaced. He did that then tried to start it and nothing!! He works for the city and hooked it up to the big computer to try to find out what was wrong, that is when we found out that it is shut down because it thinks it is being stolen. I know nothing about cars except how to check the oil, and put gas in it, can also jump on off if I have to. It is 2.5 hours to the nearest dealership and I can't afford that anyway. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

 

Do you have a second key? Try that. Next thing would be to try a hard reset, which basically means to disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Then reconnect and see if it starts.
