Well, it's extremely easy.

Plug ballast into existing vehicle wire harness.

Mount ballast

Put the light bulb in the headlamp

Plug the light into the ballast

...and your done.

I've always complained about the stock LR3 lights. I'm curious what you think about the HID upgrade??? Let us know how it goes...

i tried installing them but they will not light, i troubled shoot a little and it works if i connect them directly to the battery, it seems to be a DRL relay problem. Does anyone know where this is located (DRL Relay) apparantely i need to disactivate this in order to make them work, or purchase a add on called a relay bypass????

the correct way to set up a full conversion is to retrofit a projector lens, as xenon bulbs emit a much stronger light, and tends to blind on coming traffic, this is more important in LR3's as they sit higher up and the light without a proper cut off will light up cars like a stadium...in California you can be ticketed for this...here is some stuff you can read about the retro fit...

they sell parts and do have recommendations for retrofitters, a warning though it can get on the pricey side quickly to do it the correct way...

That is why I just swapped out the entire halogen units for a factory set of xenons found on ebay. Easy plug and play and less then $500 if you have the patience.

yep this would be the best way to do it for sure. when I was hunting for my LR3 I looked for the lighting package as it can get pricey and up there or it could take some time to find the reight situation...btw, any one know the bulb applications of the fogs and main headlight(xenon)
