I am almost embarassed posting this, but I have no idea how to release this style connector. It is the same style that is also on the sun visors and for the light on the lower driver's side kick panel? What is the trick?

 

As I recall, the end of the small wedge piece needs to be pushed. (I would up un-cliipped the body and disassembled it

 

Yep, that's it. I didn't want to break anything, but pulling on it wasn't budging. I have now both pushed that little wedge and you can bend the connector away from it a little and it will remove it. Thank you.

 

I always just pull em apart. Obviously not by the wires.
