How many miles are on your LR3
I figure my 2005 LR3 is more reliable now than when it was new.
I certainly have more confidence in it now but maybe I just better understand it.
So far, it has never left me walking.

2008 LR3 HSE w/rear locker and entertainment. Now at 104k mi, dealer maintained, only issue has been the control arms. All works perfectly and love the thing...so far. May sell in 1.5 year when my son goes off to college to get an LR4. Or whatever is out then.
123,000 on my 2006. Had compressor replaced at 115,000($1200ish). Just had a hole in my front drivers air strut. Replaced both with arnotts($530) Leak in right front axle seal ($600)......typical water ingress issues. $100,000 in gas. Everything else regular maintenance. Bought it at 95,000 though. By far my favorite vehicle I've ever owned.
The preventive fix costs about twenty five dollars; you do it standing up and your hands stay clean - it can't get much better than that.

Thanks bbyer! Again! I'm going to get one on order today unless of course the dealer did the preventative work for me to keep me from coming back for the same issue later 😂😂😂😭😭😒
Forgot to add around $100 to fix the water ingress issues. 'A' piller kit and replaced warped windshield cowl.

If your dealer did the upgrade without being asked, you will have an unusually fearless dealer.
Most dealers have learned at their cost not to volunteer anything that would generate an additional first cost - their customer base has taught them that over time.
In any case, the fix, or not, is easy to see; you just look to the drivers side of the radiator and either you see as below, the old vertical "cap" or the newer "L" shaped vent.
