153k on my 2006 LR3

fixes to the truck - LCA bushings (twice), air compressor (OUCH!!), couple of thermostats.

Current issues - got a seep from the transmission (new seals? not urgent yet), Broken Brake Pad sensors, got a crease in the body (rocks!), got a bit of engine surging at idle when cold, and it's a bit lower on power then when new.

Otherwise - been a GREAT vehicle! I plan on hitting 200k in the LR3 before looking at a replacement.

Oh yea - no rubbing on my 265/65 18 tires (i do off road the truck frequently, but no hard core rock crawling)

Look on
Craigslist > Cities
and
New & used cars, trucks, motorcycles, parts, accessories

For LR3's that have gone a long way.
May have a carfax free report too - or may not.

Seems the tail gate is common problem.

I am still messing with D2's as they are had for $1,500 at times.

Default Miles & things I've done....

92,600 miles on my LR3 HSE 2006, changed thermostat, air filter, air pollen filter, wipers, rear tailgate struts, new front diff breather tube, and brake switch. Fixed water leaks from a pillar and still need to change out my cowl, water ingress through cabin filter outlet. (Covered by my insurance... ) Also cleaned my throttle body and maf sensor, idles and runs like a charm. Changing diff oils this week, getting ready for a road trip to Florida next week.

Default mx468 water ingress

Hey MX478 -
Any chance you could please DETAIL how you solved your water ingress issues in your 06 LR3? I have same issue and not sure if its in A pillar or the cowling. You had water come through cabin filter area??

Help!
Thanks man!

looking forward to joining the LR3 club. this thread proves that with decent mechanical skills, this can be a great used truck buy.
