How much is a oil change for a lr3
An oil change is a pretty generic thing, usually you can get one for about 30 bucks (+/- depending where you take it). It also depends what oil you use, and who does it. Just bring it into a shop, they'll let you know.
Actually, it is a fair question. I've read that the filter and drain plug are behind the skid plate, and the only way to access is to remove it (about a dozen bolts need to be removed). I'm sure those 10 minute oil chnage places will not honour their $30 fixed price once you drive up and they need to start removingparts just to change the oil. Or am I wrong - is the skid plate not needed to be removed?
Anyway, doesn't matter for me. I'm planning to do them myself, just as I do my Hummer H2. Oil changes are easy, especially on a truck with more clearance like the H2 and the LR3.
Thanks
yes you have to remover the skid plate. I asked the quicklube when I was getting the truck done they said they would not charge extra for removing the skid plate
but they are all different

$50 at Walmart auto center for 8 qts of Castrol 5W30. I had to bring my own filter though as they did not have it ($7 ish at Advanced auto parts). That includes all the other "checks" they do too, like tire pressures, vacuuming, wash windows, check fluids, lights, and other stuff.
