Default How to program a new LR3 replacement remote

We just purchased a new replacement remote for our 06' LR3 and needed info on how to program the remote? The dealer wants $50 for this, which I find a little steep for 2-5 minutes worth of work. Any help would be greatly apprecaited!

Does anyone know about this? Also, is there anywhere other than the dealer to pick up a key & remote? The dealer wants $250 for the key, plus the cost to program. I saw one uncut on ebay and was wondering if that one would work. Thanks!

I've wondered about that too..I only have 1 remote and have wanted to get an extra but don't want to pay $250 either. If you end up doing it let me know how it works!

If your remote is like most of the newer remotes from Rover, they have to be programed with a test book and you can only have 2 remotes set up for the same vehicle at one time. By the way, the dealer had to pay over $30,000 for the test book, thaat is why it is so expensive to have them use it.

$200.

It's a reflashed used remote, new rechargeable battery soldered to the board, and new remote case.

Your rover has to be physically present for me to code it.

Abran programmed some remotes fit me for our lr3 and our Range Rover sport. He did a great job. You can also get a gap diagnostic gap too IID. You can use it to program your remotes as well as a ton of other things for truck. Phil
