Default Interior Update

So... I have been thinking about how it would look to have the LR4 seats and door panels in my LR3. Got a quote for all seats and panels for $600.... pretty good deal, if you ask me. Question is.... is it worth it and will it be that hard to get them in?

Door panels don't really look to be difficult, just switch over. Seats are another story.

Thoughts?

I like the doors a whole lot, and would be interested in this....does your quote break those costs out?

As for the seats, what is different? The leather? I think our perforated leather would last longer....

Leather and plushness is different. I’m sure the wiring as well...you know Land Rover. LOL

Quote is $75/piece for door panels and $100 a seat

probably just do door panels and leave seats. I’d hate to buy them and not work.

Aren't the window switches located in a different place on those doors? I thought the handles were different too....where are you sourcing these?

Window switches are in same spot.

Sourced from salvage yard in Texas.

Take pics and do a write up if you give it a go. Love to see how it turns out

Memory seats are a pain to put in. If we’re to do it again, I’d probably just move over the seat bottom and seat back. I put Rover Sport seats (newer computers like LR4) in my LR3. Had to wire everything up direct to new rocker switches. Not as simple as adding 12v anymore! Seat heaters don’t want to work either.
not sure about the door panels. The Sport door panels were too tall. Got one mounted, but couldn’t close the door...LR3 and 4 doors might be the same....not sure.

Doors are the same to the best of my knowledge. So the panels would likely fit up. Switches and handles will be the interesting part.
