Default Intermittent rough idle; stall

I’ve owned my 2005 for a year. I love this thing. V8. 190,000 miles. The previous owner has us sit for about a year, he said it ran rough and stalled all the time. He had the throttle bottle cleaned and I found some mass airflow cleaner in the back of the car. I daily drove it a year. Used premium gas. Replaced a coil.

occasionally, the car will idle rough and will stall. This seems to happen once every 1000 miles. It may happen more often after a car wash or rain. The previous owner said his mechanic said get a throttle body. I see they are selling used on eBay for about $50, do you think this is the problem? It seems like an easy job, and for $50 would you suggest trying a used throttle body?

Would you buy a new or used throttle body?

If I swap out the throttle body, are there other hoses or repairs to do at the same time?

Thanks!

New MAF will help more than a TB.

Search for a vacuum leak too, that would cause the symptoms. Prime area would be the seal around the air box and the hose from the box to the TB is prone to little splits at let air in and foul things up

I'd also run a fuel system cleaner and new plugs for piece of mind.

Wonder do you're gonna end up dealing with crap in the tank from sitting/gas breakdown

My OBD scanner says code P0171 freeze frame DTC

It also says my MIL (multi function indicator lamp is on however no trouble codes are detected.

Any idea what that means?

Thanks
