Default Just no...ooomph

Hi - just thought i'd ask this as a general question...

Often i go through periods where i think my LR3 is the greatest. Then i go through periods where i think it's time to give up.
Although lately i'm more on the former I just can't help but feel that mine right now is lacking "oomph"

I know it's a heavy vehicle. I know its never going to win any races, but recently i've noticed it is like something is holding it back - almost labouring to get to the next 10 mph mark.

I've also noticed the transmission - i think - i not as sharp as it used to be. Now i do have to replace the output valve sleeve...but i don't think i've lost that much fluid...

Any thoughts...appreciated.

Phil.

Maybe it's time for an induction service....or O2 sensors. I have heard those things can help in the Ooomph Department.

My '06 SE drives like a whole new beast after an induction service Houm mentioned. A lot more responsive and fast.... Give that a try, definitely won't hurt.

What grade fuel do you use? Premium should be used, but if you are using a lower octane you will notice a performance drop. I have this happen when I head out west were premium is very hard to find. After a bit I notice about 2mpg less in economy but the vehicle also does not drop the hammer like it used to, like it will even hold back shifts. When I get to putting premium in, it eventually gains back its sporty feel.

yes- induction service is on the list!

Or...it could just be the *****ing caliper on the right rear brake. Just DID the rotors and pads and replaced BOTH fronts.

Just replaced BOTH rears to be safe.

😒
