So in my spare time I shoot for some product placement and occasional PR assignments, usually involving equestrian clients, products, horse shows, etc.

A local venue has recently invested millions in a new arena, footing, cross country jumping course, etc.. and really turned the location into world-class event. As such, this year it became the first Nations Cup eventing competition to ever be held outside of Europe.

It was also the last competition before our (mostly local) US Olympic eventing team heads off to Rio.

As is becoming customary, Land Rover has become the title sponsor for the entire event, much like the Rolex Kentucky Three-day Event, etc.

This time however, it was only 20 minutes away!!!!


Anyways we were there all weekend with press credentials and were able to drive on some portions of the XC course, got a cool shot of my lowly rig, as well as the vehicles they had placed all over the XC course. INCLUDING a white 2016 RRS SVR

...and your moment of zen. All the press got a NICE leather and chrome Land Rover keychain with internal USB drive, AND this - a Defender model (in box) which is also a USB drive (comes with a cord to plug it in) - which has working lights that flash/stay on with data transfer!!!!!

 

Oh sure, they play up the Defender heritage stuff but don't build anything even remotely capable like that anymore.... this luxury thing will be the end of Land Rover as we know it.
