Default Leaking front diff

Got some seepage from my front diff seals which is from the old vent breather.... question, are the seals compromised now after installing the updated vent cap or should things settle back with the extra pressure gone. I know time will tell but just curious if others have noticed seals returning to normal function after replacing breather.... thanx

good rule of thumb is that once it has leaked past a seal once, it probably will keep doing so, albeit at a slower pace.

You may get lucky and it may go away. Best of luck, I am in a similar spot with T-case I believe.

On my d1 once I cleared the vent seals stopped leaking, no more pressure build up

It's not a "fix" per se but you could use a heavier diff oil. I run Lucas 85/140 in my front diff with no leaks and very little noise at 100,000+ miles.

I'm not wheeling mine so that may be a viable solution... can anyone on here think why running the heavier weight oil might pose a problem?
