Loss of power on hills and with trailer..after 30 min. of driving
The shop said that the codes for 02 sensors are tripping. Replaced those to no avail. Logic tells me it is fuel pump because... I bought the vehicle at auction so it had been sitting. When i bought it and started the revival all of the fluids we dirty as hell with leads me to believe the that gas tank has a **** ton of sediment. I recently changed the thermostat after that i started having this problem.
symptoms:
runs fine for 20-30 min until things warm up ...approaching a hill it looses power..but only after its warm... if i gas it...it feels like it is being suffocated or or lack of gas and it bogs down and dies... but after literally less than a minute i can restart it and it has more power and goes for a few more min until it starts to happen again. I was just about to buy a fuel pump because the filter is in the pump. so if it is either of those i can fix it. however... after picking the brains of Marty at Atlantic British. He says it sounds like one of the many sensors is getting hot and causing it...
I asked the shop what type of reader they are using.. Marty says that if it doesn't access the body computer...it wont help in the diagnostics.
anyone deal with similar issue and have any insight?

I would put some really nice fuel cleaner in the tank. Higher concentration than normal, for example I use Sea Foam and will add a full can to just over a quarter tank. Drive for a few miles to get the cleaner up into the injectors fully (its not a return fuel system) then let it sit overnight.
I would also clean the MAF sensor with electric parts cleaner spray.
Clean the throttle body! You do not remove it, just CAREFULLY remove the intake plastics properly - they can crack! Then spray throttle body cleaner on a rage and gently use your fingers to move the throttle plate open as you clean it as much as possible.
Lastly did you replace the upstream sensors? Those two are the only ones needing replacement, downstream just monitor the cats. Anyway, make sue you installed Denso or Walker. Bosch for whatever reason don't work well.
Of course some live data and fault codes would be nice and helpful too.

DT thanks so much for your input. I will do the parts cleaning today on the throttle body and MAF sensor.
I am so glad that you brought up the 02 sensors... since you did that i have to ask the Mechanic which ones he replaced. Mainly because i had those cats cut off. and if he replaced the downstream with out notice the clean straight pipe on there and didn't notice that there were no cats...I'll have to discussion with them and ask them WTF? they are supposed to be the experts.
Also how would i get some live data? should i buy one of those gauges to check fuel pressure and rig it to see it while the problem occurs.
Also... you seem pretty knowledgable. any chance we can have a chat on the phone so i can pick you brain and give you the order of events that caused this.. I would be happy to Venmo you a few bucks for you time and input.
