LR3 4.0L V6 engine oil sump removal
Hi all,
Has anyone removed the engine oil sump pan on the 4.0L V6 engine in a Discovery 3?
I've removed all the bolts and the pan won't budge, I'm a bit nervous about trying to lever the pan off because it doesn't look particularly robust and I don't want to bend it for obvious reasons.
I note that the gasket has 2 or 3 rubber lugs which protrude through holes in the oil pan - do these need to be cut off to get the sump pan off?
Keen to hear from anyone who done this job!

I got it off. I managed to get a flat blade screwdriver between the block and the oil pan at the corner where it was leaking and it came off really easily once the gasket seal was broken.
