...only thing missing is the MAF Sensor and Throttlebody cleaned.

(not trying to patronize you, your experience sounds painful....but it's worth one last shot, especially since cleaning the MAF and TB is cheap 'n easy)

I did the cleaning already and didn't resolve the problem. Searched the web, I'm not the only truck running into the Cat Code 2096 & 2098 issue. However none of the post provided a remedy.

I'm going to replace the MAF but doubt this will resolve the lean running issue.

Thank you for clarifying that was the case.

Interesting developing... (1) Truck is throwing P0420 & P0430 code. (2) MagnaFlow is out of stock with LR Catalytic Converter until late June / early July... Is that mean "a lot of" LR & RR replacing the Cat? Hmmm

P0420 and P0430 are the dreaded cat faults. Each one is just over $1000 new from the dealership. Driving with these faults doesn't harm the vehicle. Just prevents you from passing a smog emission tests, especially in California.

Wow... I looked at the Magnaflow website. They don't list a California Cat for the LR3. Do you happen to have a part number?

Not that anyone would have done this but will the o2 sensors read fine if the cats are gutted?
