This is still on my to do list. Any recommendations on parking brake fluid? I know it needs to meet DOT 4 spec. I can't find the Castrol brake fluid locally. Prestrone, Valvoline, and Pentosin are usually what's available.

correct. i don't think it's a parking brake issue as suggested further up in the post, this seems to be a brake caliper issue. Would still take suggestions on brake fluid suggestions.

Anything DOT 4, that's all you need to know. DOT 4 is a standard, so as long as it meets that you are fine. From cheap to fancy, its all the same.

Should I drain the whole system, or just replace with what I lose when replacing the rear rubber brake lines. Any issues with mixing brands (not sure what is currently in there)?

always bleed out old til you see 100% new clear fluid at each corner, with no bubbles
keep reservoir full of fresh fluid so you don't introduce air there either- filling as you pump
then top up to level
