LR3 - radio works but no sound?
As the title suggests, I have an LR3 06 SE that I just purchased as a spare vehicle that has the radio functions working except there is zero sound from the volume.
I have unplugged and re-plugged the red wire plug in the amp unit under the passenger seat, disconnected the battery, connected the battery leads to the vehicle with a jumper lead (not the battery posts)….
still no sound.
I am thinking either the amp is toast or I am missing something.
thanks in advance.

Check Connector C2414 Pin 1 and make sure you have 12 volts This is powered by Fuse 42D (30 amp) make sure that fuse is not blown
Also check power at Connector C0492 Pin 2 for 12 volts as well.
I know the attached file shows a D4 L319, but much of the wiring is the same. Look at the blow up shot of the amplifier at the bottom of page 1

I'm presuming you have a sound system with the MOST fiber optic setup for sound distribution. Assuming that is the case, your symptoms also point to an interruption in the MOST fiber optic system to me. I just trouble shot one of these in my '05 Jaguar. Do you have a GAP IID tool or similar? My iCarsoft tool told me that the "ring was broken" when I was diagnosing the Jaguar, which means there is a brake in the fiber optic ring (either a physical break, unlikely but possible, or one of the components in the ring has become non-responsive).
My bet is on the amp.

I did notice that the battery for the vehicle has 40% state of health of the cells for the battery (meaning a new battery will be needed).
checked the fuse and voltmeter for the connectors mentioned…low numbers.
I can easily swap out an amp from my other lr3 to confirm it is the amp or not, but before tackling that, I’d like to swap battery and maybe let the car sit disconnected for a full 20 minutes
This SE lacks the navigation unit in the dash. It lacks a number of things, including puddle lights, front fog lights, automatic daytime running lights and headlights (all manual on and off), no parking sensors on the front or rear, and only 5 seats.
I will be checking the amp for power later this week and trying another amp.
I actually have yet to see an LR3 without an amp. I think only the most poverty spec models lack one and most markets they are standard tho.
My SE doesn't have one and most SE spec sold here don't either, from memory there are 2 head units that have the MOST system with amp and then the base CD400 single disc that doesn't.
