I wonder if you need the height sensors calibrated or if you have a bad air bleed, if special program still off something fried or still wet takes a lot to dry floor harness all the way, plus did you check splices for corrosion

I'm not really sure what's going on and may not be able to figure it out until I get the scanner. The special programs being off is not all of the time but the suspension fault is all of the time. I replaced all of the splices and cleaned all the grounds on both sides. The truck has 160k on it so I expect to start having problems and I'm determined to fix it all. Going to wait a few days to dry more now that the leaks are fixed. A friend suggested putting a dehumidifier in it to really suck out the moisture.

Have you ever thought that the sunroof may not be the problem causing the wet carpet. A well known source of water in the passenger footwell is where it gets behind the seal at the bottom of the screen and in through the heater intake duct. Hence even those of us without sunroofs suffer water logged carpets. Check this site out for one cure DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - This look familiar to anyone?

It rained pretty heavy last night and so far so good. Sunroof drain was definitely the problem due to a broken elbow at the fender. I've checked the hvac drain and its fine. My cowl is in pretty decent shape and for now not the cause of my problems. For the life of me I can't understand how a vehicle that is so off road capable can suffer so many electrical and leakage problems. Do the Discovery II's have the same issues?

Yes! D2 have all the same issues with leaks from; wind screen, air intake duct, sunroof frame and drains and a blockage in the bottom of the A post, where the run off from the sunroof is meant to drain but the blockage means the post fills up until it over flows just below the lower hinge into the front foot wells. And that's just the front end leaks.

What would cause the height sensors to go out of calibration?

I have a heater and dehumidifier in it now so hopefully that helps dry it faster

I am just trowing it out there, strange things happen with these with water damage

I am sure you have the carpet pulled up and insulation pulled up, I have had to push on the insulation to squeeze out the water while someone uses a wet vac, its just a giant sponge that does not want to dry

While you are drying pull battery cover and then the cover behind it unplug big connectors and dielectric grease in all of them , be sure they plug back in tight and the covers are back on secure, basicly anything you can unplug needs dielectric grease, you force into female terminals, this helps with water resistance

GAP tool or dealer can do calibration on sensors, might be bad sensor. Sometimes sensors get knocked, wiring could get rubbed, and sometimes they freak out after being active while the vehicle is jacked or on a lift.
AFAIK the only speed related control the computer has over the raising and lowering is with regards to how hot the compressor gets so it should not affect one axle individually only.

Might be rear valve block is cooked, blocked, or bad ECU for the suspension controller. The air lines have supposedly been plagued at times by old dessicant from the air drier that becomes powder and gets into the lines, which abrades/puts holes in/clogs everything. Have not seen for myself but I did have a hole at one fitting on the rear block.
Try to have codes cleared, see what comes back.
Ask a dealer to reflash as many ECU's as possible? GAP can also do this but it is somewhat risky.
Fuse box check might be in order, inspect for blown/wet fuses?

Sorry to hear about water ingress.
