Default LR3 SE 8..AC lukewarm barely cool untill on Highway?

Hi.Help! Please..Our LR3 always got cool pretty quickly after starting/taking off..but now very little coolness comes through until moving it on the highway? On a burning high humidity day like this cooling is medium even on the highway.
Any idea what it may be ?
Thanks

Might have a leak, try recharging it yourself if you want to DIY, or have a mechanic check for leaks. Anything obviously broken in the engine compartment?

try a 'do it yourself' recharge. that fixes it, but it goes warm again within a few days then you have a leak somewhere.

also, check your coolant level (with the engine cold)

is the air itself warm? or is just taking longer to cool off the cabin.

Coolant level with Car cold is actually above the high line.
Air comes out of vents same as outside temperature( fan) with just barely a hint of cool and stays that way until we are moving fast on the highway ..then is cool ..: (
What we used to hear that we don't now is when coolness came blasting out the moaning/ sighing sound of a vent door opening would happen..and when cabin very cool that moaning sound would happen to lessen coolness..that's always like that but now nothing..
Something to do with it maybe?
Many thanks.

might have lost a actuator on a blend door.

Is the fan clutch kicking in around town?
