I have an issue with speaker 12. But according to the diagram, speaker 12 might be in driver door OR the rear drive side door. Anyone know for sure? Both speakers seem to output. In fact, I cant really find a speaker that is not working. I would like to fix the issue to keep the code from coming up. That is right, I am trying to get my LR3 fault code free! LOL
One a side note, I should probably just replace all of them. The center dash, for example, I have repaired. So they are old, tired, etc. But I also would rather replace them with speakers of the same spec. I dont want to swap amps and all that. Anyone ever go down that path?
I read somewhere that the consensus was that it didn’t make sense to replace “the designed and made for discovery” HK L7 system speakers with aftermarket ones as the sizes were non-standard and one would have to build some kind of adapters to mount them.
If wanting to replace with like for like, new, I guess the invoice won’t exactly be cheap. Per speaker it seemed like the price was between 50 and 90 GBP from JLR Classic Parts. Buying used I’d imagine the speakers are in just as good/bad shape as the ones on your vehicle or mine for that matter.
Can’t help you with the speaker numbering, unfortunately.
Yeah, I literally posted two diagrams that show different numbers. So I dont know if they are speaker locations, per say, or just parts diagrams that randomly labeled things in no particular order that relates to codes. Both are Logic 7 diagrams. Hence the confusion since I can not find a diagram that says "hey... these are the speaker IDs if you get a fault code. I think may end up disabling another speaker intentionally and see what code it throws, that maybe could help narrow things down.
